The article “Swine Flu Vaccine Arrives in Washington Area” (Washington Post October, 7 2009), by Nelson Hernandez, explain that thousands of doses of swine flu have been arriving into the Washington region in the opening days. Health officials in Maryland, Virginia and the District reported that they are receiving the first few thousand of the millions of doses expected to be distributed nationwide.  And as we know this disease is really harmful for the people, especially pregnant women and kids. That’s why a lot of vaccines arrive to help those people who are suffering from H1N1. I chose this article because I feel happy while I was reading this article, and I just felt like many people will get vaccine and then they will treatment from their disease, in my opinion it’s a nice idea to bring vaccine to help the citizen and for sure they will appreciate that for the government.

28 Pregnant Women Have Died From H1N1

The article “CDC Reports 28 Flu Deaths Among Pregnant Women” (Washington Post October 2, 2009), by David Brown, explains that the H1N1 virus has killed 28 pregnant women. Moreover, there were 100 pregnant women infected with the virus. Also this article mentions that The 28 deaths occurred between the emergence of the strain in late April and the end of August.  Anne Schuchat, a physician at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta who is helping direct the government’s response to the pandemic said that” doctors around the country . . . have never seen this kind of thing before”. That’s mean until now they didn’t find a good medicine for this disease. The government should focus on this step because many people are still suffering from this disease. I chose this article because many people around us infected by this disease, there were a lot of deaths related to the H1N1 especially the women and children, we hope to find a good medicine especially for H1N1 virus.

Paragraph # 6

 I Pod

Many people around us use I pods approximately everywhere. They carry it for several reasons. First of all, they own the I Pod to listen while exercising, reading and driving cars. For example, I own an I Pod touch. I listen whenever I want. Also I listen to any kind of music especially Arabic music, I love Arabic songs. Second, some people use it while they are reading books or studying. In fact, when I did that, I got confused, I can’t focus on two things at the same time. Therefore, I prefer to read and study in a quietly place. On the other hand, some people don’t like I Pods, they think it’s complicated or difficult to use it, so they don’t accept it anymore. Also they think while they are listening, they are wasting time because they think that they should read instead listening. For instance, my older brother doesn’t use an I Pod because he thinks that the piece of machine will make him angry because as we know, sometime it’s stocks and doesn’t work well. To sum up, there are a lot of people who carry or own an I Pod because they might use it during their job, but the rest of them don’t prefer it because it’s confused and make them angry. Otherwise some of them think it’s hard to fit with those machines.

Paragraph # 7

The first time in US

No doubt that, when we travel to another country or city, we will notice big differences between those country, especially if it the first time. In fact when I came here I noticed many different in different field. I mean by that, the weather, culture, people and the life in general. Let’s go first with the weather. Actually in my country we used to live in a hot weather, however in the winter its cold but not that much. Here in the US, the weather in the summer seems to be like my country, but it’s really different during the winter. It’s really cold and we are getting used to wear heavy cloths during the summer. Second, the culture. As we know it supposed to face hobbits or something that refer to the culture. There fore we should to fit with these hobbits even though we don’t know about it or from where did it come. The third is the people, before I come to US, I was worrying about the people, because I was thinking that the Americans don’t like to help another people. But really I dropped this idea from my mind because many people especially the citizen, they are helpful and so kind. Forunstance, 3 months ago I went to New York, when we arrived we didn’t know about the famous places and the restaurants. We found a person who is from New York, he gave us a lot of information about New York, he gave us the famous place right there, and therefore, I can say that the Americans are so kind and helpful. Finally, the life in general.  The life here is completely different from my country, in my opinion here is much easier, also the price here is less than my country except the Gas! To sum up, I noticed many different since I have been here. Such as, climate, people, and culture,, That’s All !!!

Sad Story

The article “5 children, woman found dead in Fla. Apartment”

(Washington post September, 20), by CHRISTINE ARMARIO, explain that 6 member of family founded dead in their APT in Florida. In fact I read about this article in Cnn.com, and the people mention that its really sad story.  The police are still searching for the person who did this crime, also they think that the Damas who is the father of the family who did that, but he is suspect. In my opinion It’s really important story to focus on it, because we should to live in a safety society because many people wouldn’t see crimes anymore especially in US.

Paragraph # 5

The greatest father ever

It’s a little hard to me to write about my father because in my opinion he is the greatest father ever. My father Khamis, who is 45 years old. He was born in Qatar. He was living at small house with my grandfather. He become at military service after he graduated from the university. At this moment he got a scholarship to continue his master degree in UK. He got it after he studied hard. He got a married when he was 22 years old. My father is friendly with all our member family. He treat us like his brother. Also he respects us a lot. He is helpful, he like to help the people who have problems or diseases. For example, he built a new house for someone who can’t build a house. On the other hand, my father is seriously, he wouldn’t like to be funny all time, however sometimes he is funny with my younger brother. By the way, my father paid for my brother who study here, therefore he care about us. I really miss my father during my studying at US. And I hope I can see him soon. I really admire  my father because as I said in my opinion he is the greatest father ever. To sum up, my father has a lot of qualities such as respectfully, friendly,  and seriously.

Paragraph # 3

Money

Some people believe that money can buy happiness. I really agree with that for several reasons. The money can achieve what we would to do in the future. In addition, we can travel around the world. Furthermore, we can use the money at the business to increase them more and more. First of all, how can we use the money? Many people would like to learn the right way to spend money. One of the best ways is before spending the money; we should know why we put this money on these fields and what are the benefits after spending the money. That will help us to be careful when we spend the money. Also we can buy happiness by money. For instance, we can travel where ever we want. Moreover we can buy a luxury car or a big house therefore we can say that “The money can buy happiness “. On the other hand, some people might ignore this idea. They think that they can feel happy without money. Actually this is true. Many people around us they don’t have enough money, but they feeling much better than people who have a lot of money. But in my opinion,  money will help a lot to feel better.
